Review on Stylish and Functional: Carhartt Women's Brewster Double Front Railroad Striped Bib Overalls by Keri Aziz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Comfort and functionality!

I bought this overall for landscaping and "heavy" handwork around the house. I ordered my true size and they fit well. I'll add a note that I ordered a large one because the Carhartt shrinks in length. Although they were so long that I wasn't sure I made the right choice, they have since shrunk to the perfect length. My height is 5 feet 6 inches. Size 115# and I ordered xs (usually I wear xs or sm top and bottom). Another benefit of ordering tall is that the shoulder straps don't have to be adjusted to the longest setting. Space is left to extend the straps if needed. This is an important feature as they fit well and are not too baggy/saggy in the crotch area. The presence of an extra length of straps ensures that the crotch can be adjusted to a comfortable length. I will say that my XS reg lengths are very comfortable and have a little bit of stretch. I really had to use all the available space in the shoulder strap to keep the crotch roomy. The quality of the fabric is excellent. Not as heavy as the Carhartt Original Fit Crawford Double Front Pant or Jumpsuit (I carry 2 in my pants. Each has its own purpose. Striped fabrics are lighter but still strong, and btw are VERY reminiscent of my dad's railway engineer cap fabric, when I was a kid in the 1960s. I could have sworn it was the same fabric! All in all a good choice, just a shame I didn't buy it a few years ago. (PS: square shoulder clasps are much more difficult to use than traditional round ones, but that's not a problem for me.) Spacious pockets to fit a large phone, tools, etc.
