Got them in a size XL (12) for my 7-8 year old who now normally wears a size 10 or up in most things. They were just a little big for him, but not too baggy or sloppy. He will have room to grow in them. He is slightly overweight so this size will not fit a slim 7/8 year old. The shorts have a functional drawstring waist, cargo pockets with Velcro closures at the hips, hip pockets and two welt pockets at the back. Dinosaurs look embroidered but printed. Measurements: Waist: Approximately 26 inches unstretched (Waist is elastic) Length: Approximately 19 inches from top of waist to bottom of hem Given the quality, price, and size, I would buy zebra print shorts.
