This is a reliable and versatile phone mount. It is made of aluminum and contains no plastic. The bracket is adjustable in width to fit a variety of phones from 2.2" to 3.7" wide. My iPhone 6 with a thin Otterbox case would fit if it weren't for the pocket and cards attached to the back of the case. This isn't a problem as the bottom of the mount still grips the bottom corners of my phone and the mount is attached to my exercise bike. If you have something attached to the back of your phone, a pocket, or one of those things like a retractable grip, the design of the mount most likely means your phone won't lie flat in the mount and therefore won't hold securely. Once your phone is secured in the mount, it can be rotated or flipped to any position you want, vertical, horizontal or angled (see my photo when I mounted mine at an angle due to the U-shaped handlebar). The mount comes with small rubber pads that stick to the inside of the mount to protect your phone from damage and secure it in the mount. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
