Review on Smart watch SUUNTO 5, graphite copper by Wiktor Stpie ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

I've had it for about six months, but before that I never owned a sports watch so I have no basis for comparison. Almost everything about this watch appeals to me: its high quality construction, its durability, its light weight, and how it feels in my hand. Clearly presented data, well done. I didn't like that there wasn't a wider variety of dial designs to choose from, and that the display ended up being smaller than I had anticipated (though it's still easy to read all the information). I work out six days a week, from Monday to Saturday included, for an average of one hour using a chest heart rate monitor; I also receive notifications and have my heart rate tracked around the clock. The battery life is typically six days. You lose a few days of independence for every one of these features, plus my opinion. The phone's in-built chipset makes for a highly functional and entertaining software that displays heat maps and the paths of other users. However, you won't be able to update any of your application information (height, weight, etc.) for some reason. Not a good time. It's not necessary (unless the walking mode was determined while walking) for the watch to have an automatic activity detection feature. The menu doesn't contain enough repetition, so you may have to scroll down if you need to see more options. In training modes, you can adjust how many parameters are shown, which is a nice touch. The GPS is responsive and accurate even at full power (the path is based on sidewalks). Because it "steals" distance and pace information when using economy mode (in my opinion, a 60-second signal interval) in the city, I found that it was less than ideal for my daily runs. A uniformed group moving in a straight line (field, highway) at a constant speed seems like a good candidate for this kind of routine. The controls are convenient, easy to get used to, and eventually second nature while you're doing other things. Although it syncs with Suunto, another app (one of the most popular) indicated less ascent after a trail start in the mountains than the Suunto app did. Who is right here is unclear. Fantastic film, all around! It was enjoyable; I would suggest it.

Cons
  • After 5 months, Bluetooth's effectiveness diminished (though probably more on the phone than the watch). When the watch and the app aren't in sync, you'll need to unpair and rejoin. When jogging in the frost, it occasionally loses contact with the chest heart rate sensor or displays an overstated pulse (190-200 beats).
