I have had this chair for 18 months and it is comfortable but very unstable. I fell backwards three times after leaning too far to grab something. The last (literally) time I banged my head on a steel cart required a trip to the ER and 6 staples to close the 3 inch wound; Blood everywhere in the workshop (see photos). All I did was turn the ladder I was working on on its side in the shop so I could put aligners on the other side. It seemed like there was nothing terrible and dangerous about it until the chair flew out from under my feet. The only thing that could fix the instability would be raising the base by adding 5 6 to 8 outriggers on which rollers could be mounted. I don't have time for this so I just bought a 2 foot wide adjustable stool for doctor's offices. Only slightly more expensive than this roll, except for a doctor's visit.
