These Kindle cases are great! We have two Fire HD8 (Red and Green) and Fire 7 (9th Gen Blue). I'd say they're very similar to the Kindle brand that Revain sells, but at a much better price. They are very thick but soft. The foam is thick but not hard. They have a nice wrist strap/carry strap. The rim around the screen is deep enough to protect the screen from breaking when dropped. The corners are very thick to absorb shock. The back has a diamond-shaped texture, and there are places for fingers to grip on the sides. Holes for speaker, camera, volume and power buttons are deep. The only thing that got me thinking at first was that the holes on the speakers aren't quite aligned. The speakers on the Kindles themselves are actually located at the very bottom edge of the device. The openings on the lids are more on the back as you can see in the photos. But interestingly, the sound is still very good. This is our second Kindle Fire 7. The first was the second generation. When we got the 9th gen, the 2nd gen Kindle case was the right size for it, but the speaker holes were completely misplaced. My daughter was concerned that this case would not sound any better than her old case. But she even said it sounds a lot better than the old one.
