I have been laminating various sizes of paper objects using the Fellowes laminator. When laminating paper smaller than 8 1/2 x 11 it is important to leave a sealed edge around the entire object when cutting, otherwise the seal will not be watertight. I have found that if the edges are maintained the laminated papers are not affected by heavy rain. We make signs for our stall at the farmers market to have enough water to fight veggies or on a rainy day. No problem with Fellowes laminated paper signs. If you want to remove the laminators quickly, allow the laminator to warm up before you can apply signs. Also, I'm sure I can "get" the laminated pages after they go through the laminator. So you will definitely dry out. In other words, I would advise against using the laminator unattended.
