Highly recommend this blanket. I live in South Florida and it's hot all the time. I needed a quality natural fiber duvet/quilt for year-round use that was lightweight and warm. This duvet is soft, light, breathable and supple, almost like down, but much better. The cotton cover is soft smooth cotton but I have a duvet cover because we have pets and I want to protect my duvet as it is not machine washable. dry cleaning only (chemistry, yuk). There are many types of duvet covers, making it easy to change up your bedroom decor without breaking the bank. About once a month I air my duvet either by hanging it outside or by putting it in the dryer. I've had this blanket for about 4 months now and I've had no problems, it's a quality item. As with anything, read the description and reviews, compare to similar items (do your homework) just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it's better quality. It's on the gift list.
