Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Gaming Experience with Logitech Joystick for iPad and iPad2 by Cody Henry

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not bad in general, not good for Minecraft.

It keeps what it promises, but I expected a little more than I got. I'm trying to use this for Minecraft PE, but it looks like the ability to use both your view and motion controls as a virtual joystick (which would be ideal for that) has been removed, so I'll have to settle for the motion control. Putting this on a virtual d-pad and continuing to use this horrible UI I was trying to change with it. It copes with its task very well, but I removed the stars for too stiff a spring (it practically moves in all directions only half the radius of the outer circle), build quality (it was possible to make a spring out of metal - you know , which every other spring is made of, not plastic, and tends to move on the suction cups when you use them). On the plus side, it didn't scratch my screen, as another reviewer complained, and it's actually slightly raised so you can press it when there's a button just below the joystick (but I personally found it too easy, accidentally pressing it). I was very disappointed with my experience, but it is worth remembering that this was partly a flaw in the application I wanted to use it for and partly in the build quality. I really wish Logitech would release some kind of software support for the iPad to make it easier to use, but I'll admit that even I don't really know how that would work. In summary, this may work well enough for some applications if you don't mind the short lifespan and movement on you, but it doesn't work very well for Minecraft PE.

Pros
  • also understandable for the old ones
Cons
  • some little things
