The construction seems find. He material isn’t as thick as I would expect for a dog bed. The upper layer is soft like a cats fur. The bottom has raised little bumps to help deter slippage. I have large breed dogs. They can make this bed move just by pouncing on it. My concern is the inner foam. Knowing the upper layer is not waterproof. I am not sure of the ability to clean the inner foam. It is porous and I can see it becoming brittle and falling apart after trying to clean it. The bed would be an okay purchase if I believed thus inner foam could hold up to a necessary cleaning…or that the upper material was at least somewhat waterproof.
