This thing has gotten a billion really great reviews so I'm worried I'm crazy. But the wall I want to hold on to is NOT porous. It's smooth, clean and even. I followed the directions and didn't even put soap on it for a few hours after installing it because you have to re-tighten it to create suction. I did and was glad because in two hours he got really weak. Maybe that should be a hint. My girlfriend and I have re-vacuumed it multiple times, including a STRONG pull, using a tool to do this, etc. and it looks like it couldn't stay soapy on it for more than 4 hours. It keeps falling into the sink. I am very disappointed, especially with such promising reviews. I will look for another variety!
