Excellent set for men. I wanted to add a quality comb and a new brush. My old brush did not work as I had hoped. This set is very good and I am happy with my choice. The materials are thick and it feels like the combs will last. The sizes are perfect: long for general use, medium/small for a pocket, and small for my mustache and beard. They are all thick and strong and again I believe they will last a long time. But this set was sold to me together with the brush. First try and she did great. Not sure about the material but it has smoothed and even softened my hair. We have water that can damage hair, not only keeping it in place but making it feel and look better. Very satisfied. For you or the gentleman in your life this is a good set. Happy to recommend.
