The bed came brand new in the box. But the edge of the memory foam straightened up after a few days. Foam only at the edge. I do not understand why. The padding on the bottom is an inexpensive polyester filler. Moreover, this is still not enough. It doesn't even reach the edge. I bought it because my cat had osteoarthritis. I wanted memory foam. The description implied that it would heat up when the cat was on it, through some sort of mechanism triggered by the cat's weight. I was wrong. Only the temperature is always the same. However, when the cat lies in it, it retains heat, causing the cat to turn brown. I feel a little cheated. It's just an ordinary little heating pad. Also, most of the heat generated is lost through the ground. To fix this I cut out a few pieces of cardboard at the bottom and installed them as insulation to conduct more heat. The fabric is very cheap, uncomfortable. Do you remember Teddy Rookspin? This is the material from which his clothes are made. I hate this. To add more padding and hide the awful feel of the fabric, my fried cat knitted a plaid. It's looking good now and there's more padding on his thighs. This bed with no adjustments sucks. Yet. My cat loves it like hell. Ever since I turned it on, it's stuck to it. He will sit on my lap and then decide to return to this bed. Sleeps in it all day while I'm at work (husband works from home). He spends the night there. He spends most of the day in it. I feel guilty for not buying him a heated cat bed sooner. For example, if I had known it would bring him so much joy, I would have received it much sooner. Now it's his business. My cat has terrible taste. My human rating: 2/5 stars. I gave it an extra point for the neutral colors instead of some pink or leopard crap. Rating of my cats: ALL STARS. He likes it more than my knees. But he has bad taste. UPDATE: The blanket provided too much insulation and the cat received less warmth. So I had to remove it. Apparently the reason for the thin padding and fabric is that the heating pad is so low you have to lie directly on it. Not a fan yet. Now I have a blanket on half the bed, so the cat sits on the bed and its head is resting on the blanket. It looks even better like this. I can't believe I paid so much for this bed. The cat still loves her more than me.
