It was very easy to put together as my 8 year old daughter put it together in about an hour with minimal supervision. The box arrived damaged. I'm not sure if this is due to the carriers. pillow advice. Don't open them. They are very difficult to pull back and the lint inside gets caught in the zipper. As far as comfort is concerned, everything is fine so far. This information will need to be updated in the future. The footrest seems a little short for a 6 foot person. To update. Changed to 2 stars as even after a week of ownership the left arm appears to be broken somewhere on the inside and is now very flexible despite trying to tighten all the screws. *** UPDATE **** The replacement chair has arrived. I had to disassemble the broken one and assemble a new one, box up the old one and go to the UPS store to ship it back. Only to find that less than a week later, the other one was also having problems. He's going down haphazardly as the piston holding the chair is obviously not working properly. Please don't waste your money on this chair. This is clearly junk. Edit #3 The replacement chair broke completely in less than 2 months. The upholstery of the seat and armrests has become flat. The piston doesn't hold at all. The metal parts working on the fold part of the back are cut off. If you buy this you will end up paying for an uncomfortable stool as everything else fails.
