Too long is actually a PRO because it's so easy to trim the legs to the right length without hems. My pants were three inches too long for my very short legs, but I just cropped them and fastened them with the remaining two buttons. The pants adjust generously to fit any body shape and leg length, and perhaps I should have gone down a size so my hips weren't so baggy. As with shoes, it's better to be a little big than a little too small. Aside from that, these "leather" stockings are made from thin strips of buffalo hide that have been split so many times that the resulting "skin" is only about 2-3mm thick and covered in textured plastic, making them look like finished leather . I have found this type of "semi-leather" in several "leather" items from Pakistan. Whatever the case, they protect my feet from cold winds when I'm riding in chilly weather, and they MIGHT offer some protection if you fold, but I wouldn't count on them. Anyway, they work for me and they were available.
