Item looks brand new, neatly packaged. The protrusions at the ends are in perfect order. Installation was quick and painless thanks to ifixit's video (although you do take your time when plugging or unplugging the cable and press on the silver part of the connector where you insert it). PS4 can now read discs and install games again. Blu-ray will play again. My only complaint isn't that bad, but the cable runs perfectly straight.
