I walk around the house in slippers, but mostly in socks. I specifically used these patches on my Winter Men's Huggle Slipper Socks LOL, which take a few months to clip onto the heels. I got tired of sewing sock heels for better use, and when sewing stopped working, I bought new ones. And when the heels of my last pair were starting to wear out, I found these patches. The patches are thick and stiff to the touch, but after 1 month of frequent washing they are softening and holding up well with no signs of wear. They work with any thick/heavy socks so I'm sure they will hold up well over other clothing that wears out or tears. Just follow the instructions.
