Review on Enhanced Performance Motorcraft WW2700 Wiper Blade Assembly by Antonio Taveras

Revainrating 3 out of 5

2 star discount due to size/packaging/labelling.

This has been commented on by a few others and there is definitely something wrong here. I just bought one of each. 2601 and 2700. The first thing that struck me, even though they are supposedly "OEM" Motocraft, THEY ARE NOT THE ONES WHO BECAME NEW ON THE MACHINE. SECOND LENGTH. 2601 ("left" assuming they mean driver's side) should be 26 inches (and seems pretty close), but wait, 2700, supposedly 27 inches, is EXACTLY the same length as 2601. CLIP seems exactly the same to be. All the blades were so similar, as soon as I picked up two from the pack side by side I lost track of which was which. Luckily I had a second 2601 in the package. (NOWHERE is the blade stamped 2601 or 2700) BUT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE (but not in length), hard to see when you look at it, clip side up, there is a blade like top of the blade. the blade protrudes on the off-center TOP/CLAMP MOUNTING SIDE. Significantly inclined. Blade in hand, clip side up, CLIP tooth open side away from you, that "tilt" at 2601 is on the left. at 2700 this is too RIGHT. Very thin. IF I didn't have one of them nearby at the same time, I probably wouldn't have caught it, most likely NOT. The next thing you notice when your radar is on is the unsealed nature of the packaging. How can 27" be the same length as 26"? Let's say you have some overdue orders for 2700 and you just finished them but you have a lot of 2601. You know there is NO model number on the blade, you know the CLAMP is exactly the same, you know that it is 9 out of 10 buyers will not MEASURE the blade. Unsealed AAI packs are easy to open/close (and easily fit any size). I'm not blaming here, but there's a lot going on here to get you up and running.

Pros
  • Wipers and washers
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
