Review on 🔧 Johnson Evinrude 5001595 Outboard Water Pump Kit with Housing 75-250HP - Replacement Options by Dan Tsourvakas

This kit is 25% cheaper than the Evinrude OEM water pump kit, but you get what you pay for. Compared to my old OEM water pump, the plastic body in this kit is thinner plastic and the water hoses have much thinner walls. Although pictured, my kit was missing the black plastic piece that bolts to the top of the water pump housing. Not a big deal as I could reuse my old one as it's not really a consumable item. The o-ring in this kit that fits into the bottom groove of the water pump housing is very thin and small so it doesn't fit well in the groove. I bought the original o-ring to replace which was much thicker and fit better. I had already opened up this kit and started installing it before realizing it wasn't as good as the OEM so I'll ride it for a season but won't buy again.
