My relatively new Chromebook (about two years old and out of warranty) has stopped working, just a blank screen. on google to see what could be wrong. After trying all the simpler solutions, which consisted of pressing different buttons that I wasn't aware of up to this point, I was almost ready to remove the back of the laptop and then disconnect and reconnect the battery - a task which I didn't expect I decided to put $12 on this charger to see if the old one broke. If I had a multimeter I could look at an old but decent multimeter for $12+ and that would most likely be a one time use so I went with the less expensive option. Anyway, I plugged in the adapter and the laptop charges. The problem is solved. If the problem turned out to be something else, I'd at least have an extra adapter.
