You get what you paid for.
I first brought them in for Christmas last year, thought I was doing the right thing by keeping them in their own container, ungrouped, wrapped around a cardboard box that I cut to size. no I took them off to hang on the tree and literally only half the lights worked. I was so disappointed. Now my daughter who has the same lights in her room she hung and hers will go on and off for about half a year before she needs more which is why I gave it 3 starts anyway but as I said, I think you get what you pay for, a bit cheap for some of the options I've seen, but I just thought that better care might extend life. no
