This basic platform from Revain does its job well as a base but has one big design flaw. The edges of the vertical support bars have sharp edges, they must be flattened or covered with some kind of smooth surface. I just put my new mattress on this platform. With one simple movement, it ripped all of the sharp edges off my new mattress, voiding my warranty. Please think about this scenario before purchasing or put a smooth fabric on the platform to save your mattress. I also bought a mattress topper.
