Review on πŸ’Ž Diamond Gemologist Jewelers Watch Tool with Locking Tweezers by Amy Mcleod

like thousands of others, not bad, but not special either.

I was looking for tweezers with a latch and a good tip. It's not the same tweezers. The lock works, but I do deal with small gems as a hobby, and for stones over 1 carat I had to physically grip the jaws of the tweezers and open them to fit initially (1 carat = about 6mm for a diamond or sapphire). The photos weren't good enough to see that the tip of the tweezers wasn't blunted a bit. I want a set that opens about 10mm and has a blunt end that gives it slightly wider contact areas. I ended up sanding the tip to create a blunt end. Again, none of this is the tool maker's fault, it's just very hard to tell from the description and photos if this tool is any different from a million other sharp, fine tweezers. If you are NOT picking out small gems and keeping them for inspection. These tweezers will probably be great! however, they are limited to approximately 4mm of the natural opening at the apex.
