Let me preface this 'I'm an idiot' and my basic rule of life is 'I don't need anyone to tell me that' I'm writing this review currently carefully because I've spent the last 3 days missing a piece of my thumb after trying to show my daughter what NOT to do with a mandolin and let me tell you it worked. Trying to chop a carrot (No glove provided), all I felt was a sudden touch on my hand. Looking down, I realize I cut off part of my thumb and the missing piece is in my carrot (yes, I threw the carrot away.) The blade was so sharp I didn't even feel it turn caught my fleshy offering to the carrot gods in my thinly sliced carrots. It was very easy to give the blade, tray and slider a thorough clean while holding the bandage on my thumb I don't recommend it. I think it would be better if both spiralizers were on the same side so I could hang the tray on the wall with all the pieces as a warning to anyone walking in that their limbs aren't safe.
