I like everything, the quality is good, the price is acceptable.

The camera is good for beginners, but if you plan to take photography seriously in the future - do not buy this camera, save up for the d7000! When buying, I made a huge mistake - I hurried, did not wait for some 3 months.
Whale optics - on the shelf. I bought a 50mm af-s 1.4 lens, the picture is incomparable with a whale.
Also available is Helios 81N - a very sharp portrait lens, Kaleinar 5N (put it on the shelf after buying 50mm), 2x and 3x teleconverters (useful when you need a telephoto).
A good technique for a teenager, for family photos, just for yourself.

Pros

1. Among cameras in this price category, this is the best option: the d3100, as you know, is better than the d3000, while the d3200 loses because of the large number of megapixels on a small matrix, so I don’t recommend taking it. 2. In comparison with whale optics from other manufacturers, Nikon wins, so when buying a camera with a whale (I took 18-55) it can be safely used for shooting nature, traveling. 3. Easy to handle. 4. During the year of use, there was not a single breakdown, nothing fell off / peeled off. 5. Currently, the price of this camera is more than attractive. :D 6. The ability to shoot video (although there is no way to set it up properly, but still). 7. The battery holds a charge for a long time, lasts for a long time.

Cons

1. Light weight can not be attributed to the merits. Even the same whale outweighs the camera. A DSLR is not a pocket camera, and taking it with the expectation of "easier" is more than stupid. 2. Noise at ISO800 and above. Loss of quality when shooting at night => you need a tripod and a fast lens. 3. Like it or not, but whale optics are soap. Shooting high-quality portraits is difficult, macro photography is also not encouraging. 4. The built-in flash only spoils the shots. External purchase required. 5. Of course, the lack of autofocus in the device itself. Overpaying 1.5-2 times for lenses is not possible for everyone. 6. Terrible stabilizer in whale lenses. When shooting, it's easier to turn it off. Appropriate to use only on televisions. 7. Video recording limit - 10 minutes. 8. Inability to connect an external microphone and wireless remote control. 9. Terrible display quality. When buying, I thought, reading the reviews, that I would not notice this, that it does not matter. So, believe me - this is a very important minus. It is impossible to discern the pros and cons of a photo right away, and often, when processing pictures, one wonders how this could not have been removed. 10. The absence of a second screen, as on the d7000 and d90.
