I bought it mainly to watch sports. The cables are quite good, not very thick but durable. For some reason I'm having trouble connecting the antenna directly to the TV without an amplifier. It connected fine with the booster but there seems to be a small issue with the streams. I've also connected a TV that's already wall mounted, so the awkward position could also be part of the problem. The range itself is fine. I bought a model with a booster, just in case, and it turned out that I really need it. I live in the suburbs about 25-30 miles from broadcast antennas. Without a booster I can get most channels from the ground floor on the outside wall (about 5 feet off the ground) to the transmit antennas. With an amplifier the picture is perfect. I don't count the channels because to be honest I'm only interested in sports on Fox, CBS, NBC and ABC. All these channels are amplified in crystal clear HD.
