It's all about the bass.

To be honest, the mid-range+ isn't that bad. It's actually pretty good given my aging eardrums. But so far I haven't been able to get even the slightest bit of bass out of these headphones. Dad's phone when I called Dial-A-Disc in the '60s. I'm not returning them as they're cheap and good for voicemail and podcasts, but don't deliver audio enjoyment.
