One of the most durable shoes we have found for our very active boy. Other models don't always have a lot of rubber on the sole - they just put foam in the middle of the sole to essentially make it look like a sole. They have nice thick rubber on the bottom that gives good grip and lasts a long time. Some other shoes also had tears in the upper where it hit the midsole near the ball of the foot because the forefoot was flexing up and down a lot in that area. They have reinforcement in this area and we haven't had any issues with the upper splitting prematurely. This is a great shoe that will last until the kid outgrows them and is what you should get for your money.
