Nice little detector. I took it after my cat had radioiodine treatment for hyperthyroidism so I could more accurately determine when it would be okay to let her sleep in bed again. I don't have a known amount of radioactive material to test for accuracy, but from my rough calculations based on the number of mCi it was said to contain when I picked it up, it seems pretty close. I trust this dosimeter more than my mathematicians. Most importantly, it's compact, easy to use, and a good reminder that there's a reason to stay away from your radioactive cat. The only downside I would give is the decimal point which is hard to see on screen as it is at the very bottom of the display and is often in the shadows. The display isn't backlit, so it gets lost there in low light. It's only a 3 digit display so the decimal point can jump around and I really want to know the difference between 5.55 Β΅Sv and 55.5 Β΅Sv.
