For years I have used reusable bamboo straws and cheaper plastic straws when I didn't use paper or biodegradable plastic (and had my doubts about them too) and they degraded very quickly, very rough and increasingly difficult to clean as my straw cleaner kept getting stuck in it (especially the bamboo ones). I was curious as to how and why they got dirty so quickly, but since they weren't clear I decided to give these glass straws a try when they showed up as a featured item. These straws changed everything for me. I use them as a stirrer for coffee, tea and hot brew for mixing and drinking when trying not to stain my teeth and of course for cold drinks like kombucha and fruit juices. They never get build up which is nice to see and they are much easier to clean with a straw cleaner/scrubber and don't get stuck. I've even dropped one of these straws on a granite counter a few times and it didn't break, so it's strong enough for me! Definitely recommend and share with others in my family!
