Not airtight - keeps ants out
I bought four of these tall cereal storage containers after opening cereal bags in our pantry started to attract ants. Wooden lids have a very pliable silicone seal. A few days after the bins have been cleaned and filled with flakes, ants will appear in the bins. Ants can easily crawl under the silicone seal. If the ants can do that, I think other insects can get in, too. Bottom line: don't buy if you want to keep bugs away.
