Bought several of these. They work great in our cloakroom and utility closet which doesn't have on/off switches and the batteries last a long time. We also use one for a freezer without interior lighting. I tried using the motion detection setting here, but it was too sensitive and any movement throughout the garage would activate it, even with the cardboard "curtain" added, and the batteries would be drained instantly. So we use an on/off switch instead. The only problem is that the switch is actually high/low/off. The motion sensor can be set to high or low brightness, but not the switch. It's clear it's nothing to worry about, just a minor annoyance. I would still recommend it, just keep one thing in mind.
