These sandals arrived quickly and came in a very attractive heavy cardboard shoe box. The outer tread is similar to a car tire - it has an excellent tread that is very slip resistant. I was impressed with the quality of the tread. My color choice was black and white sandals. Wow, that is such an attractive color option. I highly recommend it. He goes with everything. Next attached to the straps WITH ALL are large anti-chafing pads that run between the straps and the foot. They are big enough and well located. I have NO scratches that cut into my skin when walking and cause huge, painful, bleeding cuts on my legs that ache for weeks and leave long lasting sores on my sensitive skin. Not a single bad prickly spot. (Are you reading this Teva? What happened to your sandals that I can no longer buy!?! The chafing from all the Teva I've bought recently has been awful. It's a horrible problem and I just can't get over it afford to spend a dime on them. Your once fabulous sandals.) The insole is very comfortable, soft and durable. This is ideal for an older foot that needs a little extra care. They are soft and comfortable but not overly luxurious to the touch. These sandals are lightweight. I felt that the video advertisement for this shoe showed that the sandals were heavy and bulky. Not personal at all. They are surprisingly light and don't feel bulky at all. So far I have taken my off-road hiking sandals with me on the boat. You'll get wet happily and dry just as happily. They were very comfortable to wear when wet which is great for a kayaker like me so I think they make very good water sandals. Cross-country immigration followed. The outsole tackles gravel, tree roots and steep climbs with ease and comfort. The straps held tight but didn't cut into the legs. (The straps are strong but incredibly soft on the foot). Shopping and errands followed, and plenty of time to run around the house. More comfort The only downside I can find is that I prefer a higher orthopedic arch. This shoe offers a decent amount of camber, but I would have preferred a slightly higher orthopedic camber. However, these are amazing sandals. Teva can learn a lot from these sandals! Finally, the price of such wonderful sandals is very reasonable. I'm surprised how much I love this sandal.
