Review on πŸ•―οΈ Glade Wax Melts Air Freshener, Scented Candles with Essential Oils for Home and Bathroom in Blue Odyssey - Pack of 6 by Michelle Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good and Evil

First off let me say that I LOVE melted wax. I use 2 medium sized heaters at the same time in my house and also have 3 decorative night lights with very small heaters above them. I have tried and bought countless brands and fragrances from major retailers, small boutiques and of course online from Revain and other online retailers. IF I were just rating Glade Wax as a whole and using other brands for comparison I would give it a 4/5 for the time you can use a cube to fill the air nice and continuously before passing it through one replace another die (I usually just add another flavored die to the one that is weak and needs to be replaced). I would rate Glade Wax Bottoms a 5/5 for ease of use. Unlike most other brands, which are packaged in such a way that you have to hold the entire package manually to separate a cube from the whole block, every Glade cube is already divided for you. This can be a little messy for me as I often end up with small bits of wax on my countertops, arms, floor etc and often find it difficult to pick them up without leaving hard to remove smudged bits of wax on my countertops and others Spots where the wax might have landed, like my floors and fingers. However, the packaging of the Glade wax cubes is designed so that each cube has its own little slot and simply needs to be picked up and placed in a heating pad. What's more, Glade cubes aren't sticky at all and don't leave any residue on your hands when you pick them up, nor do they stick to your fingers like many other brands do when you put them in a heating pad. Their packaging is also very easy to open and close. My 5/5 usability rating still doesn't justify Glade's Melts! They really are the easiest to use out of the dozens I've tried. Now to appreciate the flavor of this particular Blue Oydessy Glade. When you buy an unfamiliar fragrance online, you take the risk whether you like it or not. I ordered a few unknown fragrances online and while some of them made it onto my favorites list, others smelled good enough to use what I bought without simply buying them again. However, Glade's Blue Odyessy is the only fragrance I've ever used and it was so uncomfortable I couldn't even use what I bought. I could NOT stand the smell of a cube long enough for it to stop melting in the heat. I can't even describe how it smells because I have no comparison. I bought 3 packs at once because I had time to enjoy all the other Glade fragrances and they came at a very low price ($2.48) compared to the regular Glade prices. I figured that if I wasn't crazy about the Blue Odyessy that was sent over, it would at least be pleasant enough to use, especially considering the low price. I was wrong. I opened the other 2 packages to sniff in case the first one goes bad? (Or what you call wax that is obsolete or degraded, if it even exists). They were all the same. After offering them to a few friends who didn't want them either because of the smell, I threw away all 3 packs. This is the first time I've thrown away unused wax melts, but I just can't stand the smell. So for the scent I'll give this product a 0/5. As I generally like the properties of Glade's Wax Melts as mentioned above to give them an overall 4.5/5 rating, I only gave this product a 3 star rating based on smell and I find it extremely generous. If this was my only experience with Glade I would never buy anything from the Glade perfume line and give this item a 0/5 rating. Well I think you should give Revain at least one star so give him 1/5. . Btw, after sniffing the packet and not liking the smell on the outside, I started melting one because in many cases melted wax smells slightly different when melted. Now I can only guess that the bargain price is due to the Glade having a lot of surplus. I could send them back, but that seemed more cumbersome to me. **For those of you who haven't heard of this, I'd also like to share a tip for removing wax from your heater: After turning off the unit, set out a container of melted wax (either slightly warm and runny, or cold and solid ) in the freezer. After a few hours, the hardened wax will slide right out of the tray! Plus, it leaves no mess! I'm sorry for such a long review, but I like it when others explain the product in detail and how or why they came to review it.
