My 20 year old Gen 1 Wave finally gave up. All capacitors fail one after the other; So I replaced it with a new 3rd generation model. The improvement in sound quality is really noticeable to the ear, which I'm very happy about. Since I'm using it for PC audio and it's right in front of me, I'd prefer the buttons on top; Since then I've had to fiddle with the remote and turning Auto Touch on and off is quite a hassle. However, time is of the essence for this 70-year-old musician and the improvement in sound quality is definitely worth learning new tricks for me. Now I'm waiting for my Windows XP to expire. Having to learn a brand new and outdated PC operating system is REALLY going to be a problem for this old muggle.
