I bought this on July 18th and it is already broken. It no longer charges or plays my daughter's iPod or iPhone. I wasn't crazy about it to begin with. On the plus side, it's compact and the speakers were pretty good for their size, but that's where the positives end. The controls were so confusing that you had to press tiny buttons on the back to toggle the clock or alarm. Switching from iPod to radio and buzzer also seemed confusing. As other posters have said, there's a huge learning curve for a simple alarm clock. Anyway, he died last week while my daughter's iPod was plugged in. She rarely takes it off as it is her "room stereo" and therefore cannot be caused by abuse. It just doesn't accept iPods/iPhones anymore. The radio/buzzer still works but I'm looking for something simpler now and hope it lasts over 3 months.
