Gaming laptops generate a lot of heat, I had a smaller laptop from another manufacturer that REALLY reduced the heat output when the processor and keyboard were still getting very hot after an hour or two of constant heavy use. However, I played THIS cooler continuously for 4 hours with Mac settings (I ate a steak and took a break in the bathroom) and not only did it lower the temperature of the processor, but it also forced so much cold air through that the temperature of the top of the keyboard was actually slightly warm, about the same amount of heat you would feel from the surface of a wooden chair if you sat on it, quietly, for a while. Anyone looking to cool their laptop or just extend the life of their internal fans by having an external device do half the work is worth every penny. quiet and powerful. The lighting is aesthetic but not intrusive. Cons: The surface MIGHT cause laptops with weaker pads to slip a bit after a while, be it from vibration or whatever, and a plastic plate that snaps in place to prevent the laptop from sliding off when it's on top. seems like a cheap afterthought (maybe it would be better, like a hinged flap?), and it's tall and thin and can get in the way of trackpads or make your wrists uncomfortable. a holder that also works better as a shuttered box than a coil resembling a boat tether. or below if a mouse is used nearby it would be better to have one on each side to accommodate people who only enter from the left or those who just have their own preferences. Or just go overboard and put one on each side and back and cut the cord so nothing gets in the way and you can still get to any port you want to use. The rubber pads on the ends of the support legs could be glued better, I ended up using strong CA and they haven't come off since, although a random nitpick - as a person who spends most of their time using their laptop lying in the Bed, while the adjustable leg supports keep leg height perfect, I would have preferred the support legs to be connected into one large U-shaped base rather than two separate legs. I often had to spread MY legs slightly to support IT and after a while it started to get annoying. And if I chill in my underwear and do a little chill and play light games before bed, I find the men's section gets too cold, with a strong U-bracket as a base I could place the back edge against my crossed legs and it will it still can be durable without sacrificing airflow OR my drains. Where the effect of a light dimmer showing fan speed and which fan zones are on is decent, a bypass switch to turn the lights off would be nice just for ambiance reasons. B. for movies or just to limit the amount of light in a room. The overall cost, build materials and performance make this a REALLY smart choice.
