Review on WJSTN 018 Braided Speaker Banana Converter by Sherry Esco

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The pins are too thick for many gears

These adapters are very well made. But the contact part is 12 AWG. It didn't fit the spring terminals on my 1970's Marantz speakers or other amps from the same year. It also doesn't fit into the spring terminals on my speakers that use spring connectors. Long story short, these adapters will not work with anything I have that uses spring clamps/clamps. Be careful, the banana jack is well shielded. But I found that my speaker's (daddy's) banana wire plugs aren't shielded on the part you're clinging to. If I could attach these adapters to my Marantz, their chunky ends would touch. The Marantz's spring clips are close together. This would most likely short out the speaker terminals. Not good! So if you can use them, be sure to use insulated banana plugs or some other method to prevent our speaker wires from shorting out.

Pros
  • The plug is 24k gold-plated, oxidation-resistant, has a high transmission rate and a long service life
Cons
  • No automatic
