I have slightly longer than shoulder length hair and primarily purchased this to wear to bed. Ample room in the top/back for all my hair, however after a few evenings the band had stretched all the way and it wouldn't stay on my head at night even when I pulled the cap down past my ears and almost covering my eyes. Good for wearing outside or around the house so no problems there.I found if I washed the cap and let it air dry it would shrink back slightly, but the effect was short lived. IF you plan to wear this during the day or around the house, it's totally fine, but not very effective as a slumber cap.
