DO NOT ERASE Chalkboard Markers
Do not use chalkboard markers. Chalk only. Chalkboard markers are not erased. I'm searching the internet how to get out of what I've already written. I've heard chalkboard markers are better for higher quality chalkboards. This panel appears to be a thin piece of chipboard with chalkboard paint on the visible side. For now I have a "permanent" message on my board until I can fix this situation. If I can't remove it I may have to contact the seller. Otherwise everything is fine, wood, stain and hooks.
