I've only had the bag for a few months, but I took it for a week in Mexico and a week in Nicaragua. My stuff fit perfectly (probably I pack them lighter) and I had no problem with it as hand luggage. I like the way it looks and have had a few compliments. Please note that it only zips open on the zip side so it doesn't open up like a suitcase.A backpack's straps make it easier to get around in a crowded airport, which is great if you have a checked bag that you also need to wheel.You can also use the bag for hiking or weekend trips.
