High quality, lightweight microfleece with a luxurious feel. Feels softer than cashmere. That. Also, the width is great at 11 inches and therefore does NOT compress or flatten the nose like almost every other neckgaiter/tube out there! Although the fabric is thin, it is double-layered (two pieces of the same size sewn together with a "hidden" back seam) to give it extra thermal properties. But the neck warmer should be slightly longer (taller) than the current nine inches; maybe an extra two inches to make it nine inches square. I'm deducting another star for this. Still, a good thing to have in your winter arsenal to ward off an old man's winter.
