I purchased this item with a plastic snap-on case for my MacBook Pro (Touch Bar) so I didn't think the case would interfere with this adapter. The adapter will not fit when the case is on unless you turn the adapter upside down so that the longer end of the adapter is pointing away from the keyboard. While it looks a bit weird, the attached photo shows that both the lights on the adapter and flash drive are blinking while my computer is charging. I gave this product 5 stars even though it wasn't optimal for my situation because I was impressed by its versatility and the fact that I didn't have to return it. Also, for the price, the adapter seems well researched and made.
