I have been using the Keen Newport H2 extensively for 15 years now. When it's not raining and I'm not going to work I usually wear a pair. However, the color I like has been out of stock for a few months, so I decided to try these Dream Pairs. It also cost about a third of the price of Keen. The Dream pairs use an adjustable ankle strap at the back instead of the flexible fixed strap that Keen has. Even though my Keens usually start falling apart here, I still prefer the flexible straps as they allow for quicker putting on the sandals. The main difference is in the sole. It doesn't have as much arch support and the sole is definitely thinner (maybe softer?). I feel a lot more cracks and bumps in the tread. Keen also offers thinner sole sandals so it's not a quality issue but I would have preferred a thicker sole for comfort when hiking or cycling in the area. To me this is not a real replacement for the Newport H2.
