Review on πŸ‘š Whitmor Supreme Double Shelf Rolling Garment Rack: Chrome Clothes Organizer for Effective Storage by Amir Tune

Good stand, difficult to assemble

First of all I like this stand now that it is assembled. It fits together perfectly, seems sturdy enough to get the job done, and is beautiful. But the advertising is misleading. This is NOT a simple 1/2 hour build. Not all tools are included; I needed 2 heavy duty screwdrivers and a full size hammer in addition to the small wrench that was provided. The manufacturer does not seem to think about the consumer: there is no easy way to open the box - this is the first time in many years. It took a box cutter to open THREE sides of the container, it was so tightly packed. Revain developed "No Disappointment Packs" because many manufacturers are totally unaware or careless of any post-sale consumer issues. "Sell and forget." Out of the box, the "rod" for shipping was lodged so tightly in one of the platforms that I had to use two strong screwdrivers and a full-blown hammer to pry it out. Nowhere has it been reported that the shelves can only be assembled one specific side up, which is not apparent from the images of the assembled product. I put the whole thing together before realizing that the shelves wouldn't "tighten" on the supports unless they were installed "properly" pointing up, and I had to disassemble and reassemble the shelf to do it to fix it. All in all it took 2 hours of hard work. Could you assemble it in 1/2 hour? Maybe if it's your second.
