Impressed with this little radio

Received my radio on time. I didn't realize how small it was, but that's ok. I tried it last night and it worked fine. Solar power worked well to charge a partially charged battery. I live in Richards, Texas, in the middle of nowhere. At sunset and around 2am I was able to pick up a few stations on the shortwave channels. I'll buy an antenna for it in hopes of removing static. However, I could not receive any AM stations. I hope the antenna helps. However, we do not receive AM stations on any of our other radios. I think this is where we live. I will update my review after receiving the antenna to say how it works. In general I am very satisfied with my purchase. I bought this radio to get started with shortwave listening as I am a beginner. If I like it, I'll spend the money to buy a better shortwave radio. I keep it to myself because I really like it. Update: November 25, 2012 I now have a Sangean ANT-60 shortwave antenna. This improved radio reception. It is worth buying some kind of antenna for the radio. Now I listen to my shortwave stations almost every night and some during the day. I like this radio very much. I feel prepared for emergencies and can listen to broadcasts from all over the world. I would recommend this radio to anyone; it serves multiple purposes.
