I have a new MacBook Air 2018, model A1932. The case does NOT fit universally. Just received my case. I like it. Photos showing its fit and flexibility. It has a pretty good rubber feel, not too strong but a good non-slip surface. I was concerned that this might not open the laptop properly. But the photo shows that there are no problems opening more than 90 degrees for comfortable viewing. The case fits snugly, the back of the laptop is visible in the photo. When switched on, the laptop does not move in the bag. I have a solid color that is very clear and makes it easy to see the color of your laptop. Yes, I see lint on the case where I tried to clean the laptop and case before installation. This is not a breach of contract. It protects the edges of the laptop. It adds a tiny bit of weight (a few ounces?). The keyboard cover feels very comfortable. It's a super-thin piece of flexible plastic that should provide good protection from potential liquid splashes. I am very happy with it.
