So far this moisturizer is amazing

I've become very interested in Garnier's skincare products lately and when I was looking for a new lightweight daytime moisturizer I wanted to see what options Garnier had. I saw they had just launched this moisturizer and it sounded exactly what I was looking for! I've been using this moisturizer religiously for the past few days and my skin really loves it! This moisturizer is a really light pump-dispensed gel formula and is an opaque light blue that almost looks like it could glow in the dark lol. It's a very moist formula, not creamy but not runny, and absorbs into the skin fairly quickly. You don't need much, a full squeeze is enough for the whole face and maybe half more for the neck. The aroma is quite spicy, although sweet. This is not a typical "Garnier scent" but smells of berries. It's not the best scent, but it's not bothersome and goes away in about 10 minutes or so. Once the gel sinks in, my skin feels very moisturized and comfortably moisturized without being sticky, greasy or weighed down by heavy cream. This moisturizer contains quite a bit of dimethicone, giving you a baby-soft skin feel to begin with. This can be a stumbling block for some, and I confess to worrying about this because I have combination skin and sometimes too much dimethicone makes me oilier or more irritating. However, so far this moisturizer has not negatively affected my skin. Anyway, I could skip the primer as this moisturizer is a great primer on its own. My makeup stays on so much better than any other moisturizer I've tried under makeup in years and my makeup doesn't come off after a few hours! Although Dimethicone gives a false sense of softness, continued use over the past few days has increased the overall softness of my skin. It's even noticeable after showering and washing, even before I apply moisturizer. I'm very fortunate and glad this isn't one of those products that mimic soft skin with dimethicone without really having softening properties. This moisturizer also has a very slight cooling effect when applied to the skin. It's not too harsh or irritating and stops when the gel is absorbed and dried. So far I have noticed a significant improvement in my skin tone since using it. I usually have quite a bit of blemishes around my nose and chin and there is hyperpigmentation around my temples. This moisturizer has made my skin look more radiant and even, and fine lines appear smoother and less visible. For the past few days I've been able to wear a light coverage foundation without concealer, which is quite remarkable as I've needed more coverage than usual to smooth my skin for the past few months. I'd say this is a must have if you're looking for something effective and lightweight, especially if you have combination skin that gets extra dry in the colder months, or if your skin looks ashen or dull. I will continue to use it (twice a day; once in the morning after the shower/wash and in the evening after cleansing and serum) and if the past few days have shown what to expect from continued use, this moisturizer could only be HG- received status.
