Just like the picture, bright and festive. They go well with my kitchen south of the border. Thick enough to avoid scratching glass or water ring on wooden table. I haven't had to wash them yet and I don't know how well the brush ends hold up or the color holds up. So I'll probably hand wash them in the sink and lay them out to dry just in case. We don't make a big mess and we don't have kids, but they probably aren't the best thing to do if you have young kids or a completely sloppy husband. But they are certainly bright and cheerful.
