Sturdy, strong and reliable construction, just like my larger size and every other Stanley thermos I've had. The painted, forged finish always seems to hold up fairly well on these Stanleys, having thrown them on trucks and ATVs on hunting trips. Usually you will lose the item or leave it somewhere before it wears out. Make sure you write your name on the bottom like it's your kindergarten lunch box lest your buddy claim it's his box. lol. I bought a matching button travel mug and together they are perfect for carrying and serving my morning coffee during my 45 minute commute and several hours at work. I don't drink coffee after 11:00 but it seems to keep it warm until I'm done, or drink it all. I like the lid that you twist to pour instead of removing it all the way. It's a little cleaner to use, drips less and keeps the lid clean. I suppose this allows you to close it faster and retain more heat. It seems to hold heat longer with the hotter liquid you have. but I think it makes sense. All metal and feels solid, doesn't leak and keeps my coffee warm like the big ones. I think it does everything I could ask for. All is well. Thumbs up.
